[Saturday 6th July 2019]
Cloé [F] Projects - led by Cloé Fournier - is holding an audition for female contemporary dancers on Saturday 6th July 2PM 5PM at Parramatta Town Hall for her upcoming performance Mea Culpa to be presented at Riverside Theatres 17 19 October as part of Dance Bites 2019.
Mea Culpa is Cloé Fournier’s new dance-theatre ensemble work. It tightly encases a science-fiction and science-fact exploration, whereby investigating the behavioural patterns of a micro-society of seven female bodies who bear the pressures from an ever-present invisible power. Exploring and exploiting the idea of the human machine: part-mechanical, part-human; Fournier develops a movement aesthetic that blends and stretches contemporary and French folk-dance vocabularies.
Cloé is looking for sophisticated contemporary dancers who have a strong sense of performance and theatricality, and team players who are committed and open to learning.
Unfortunately, Mea Culpa has not received any financial support from funding bodies. While no wage can be offered at this stage, a travel allowance will be paid to cover incidentals. Performers will also receive free tickets to all of FORM’s 2020 Dance Bites.
A fundraiser will also be organised in order to offer a minimum payment to cast and creatives but the amount will depend on the amount raised.
Please send your expression of interest, CV/bio, headshot, availability and if possible links to videos of you dancing to Cloé on firstname.lastname@example.org by Monday, 1 July.
Rehearsal dates: (Exact times are TBC and will take into consideration dancers’ availability)
